If freshman Speaker of the House Mike Johnson greenlights a Select UAP Committee in the new year, Rep. Andre Carson (D-IN) is interested in helping lead it as ranking member, ie the top Democrat on the panel.
After Ask a Pol recently mention the proposal to Carson, he circled back on the idea with us.
“You mentioned the Republicans want to start a Select Committee?”
“It's bipartisan,” Ask a Pol explained. “They want a Select UAP Committee. But [Rep. Jared] Moskowitz (D-FL) is on it. [Rep. Nancy] Mace (R-SC). [Rep. Tim] Burchett (R-TN).”
“I wonder who they’re gonna have as ranking member, I mean?” Carson asked, smiling and pointing his thumb towards his chest.
Carson chaired the House Intelligence Committee’s public 2022 UAP hearing — the first public hearing investigating UFOs in roughly a half century.
