Ask a Pol asks:

Will UFO whistleblower David Grusch get his security clearance back now that he’s been hired on staff by Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO)?

Key Burchett:

“It seems like that would get us around the classification stuff, but I don't know. I would think it would,” Rep. Tim Burchett exclusively told Ask a Pol. “I’m not sure. I don't know if they did or they said they need to, because I don't know who … gives the credentials for that, you know? It’d have to be the chairman of the committee. That's the only thing I could think of, wouldn't you?”*

*since Ask a Pol spoke to Burchett yesterday morning, NewsNation’s Joe Khalil scooped new details on Grusch’s arrangement with Burlison, including noting that “Grusch will NOT be working with the House Oversight Committee - the committee before which he once testified. He will only be working with/advising Rep. Eric Burlison…”

“His roll will begin as a temporary 4-month post,” Khalil notes."**

**Burlison still hasn’t gotten back to Ask a Pol (even after we broke the news that Burlison wanted to hire Grusch this time last year…).

Caught our ear:

“I'll go back and I'll read some of the stuff. How about this,” Burchett says. “If I find anything in it — because I'm on, like, a group text where all this stuff is, and I'll just have to go back and research it — if it's in there. I don't know if it's in there or not, alright?”*

*As of publication time, Burchett has yet to message an update to Ask a Pol.

BONUS: Burchett worries about JFK document dump

“I knew they were going to release volumes. I just envision the warehouse in Raiders of the Lost Ark,” Burchett tells Ask a Pol. “In those files is everything — stuff that's been disproven, stuff that's truthful — and what I'm afraid will happen is, you'll just get so much stuff that has been disproven, but then you got to go through it to get to it, you know what I mean?”

Below find a rough transcript of Ask a Pol’s exclusive interview with Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN), slightly edited for clarity.

TRANSCRIPT: Rep. Tim Burchett

BACKGROUND: After barely avoiding a government shutdown last week, Congress gave themselves the week off.

While that cut off Ask a Pol’s access to the Congressional UAP Caucus, a tweet on X from Kyle W (aka @OnceSecrets) on Wednesday spurred Secrets Task Force Chair Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) to digitally reveal that UFO whistleblower David Grusch was being hired by Rep. Eric Burlison (R-MO).

Source: X (h/t Kyle W @UnstblResearch)

SCENE: After Luna’s tweet, Ask a Pol’s Matt Laslo texted the usually responsive Burlison Wednesday evening. No response. Thursday morning Laslo called Burlison. After two rings, the congressman sent Ask a Pol to voicemail. Cold...

That’s when Laslo called Congressional UAP Caucus Co-chair Tim Burchett (R-TN). The congressman picked up, even as he was rushing in between events back in his Knoxville-area district.

With Congress out this week, turns out Burchett shares many of the same questions Ask a Pol supporters have been asking in our subscriber-only Chat.

Matt Laslo: “Hey, brother.”

Tim Burchett: “Hey, sorry man. I've been busy all morning. I'm in between [events] — I'm getting ready to pull up on another one. Talk fast.”

ML: “Yes, sir. I was just wondering, have you heard about — like has the UAP caucus hired David Grusch? Or is that Oversight Committee?”

TB: “I heard, I heard it was…”

Don’t miss out! What should we ask this week?

Burchett’s racking his brain as they drive through his district.

TB: “Goddamn. I saw something on it, one of the members was talking about it. And I'll tell you who could tell you is…”

ML: “Burlison, right?”

TB: “Yeah, yeah. He's the one who's saying that — and I'm not saying it didn't happen, because it seems like it did. But I've had so much go on here the last few days, I've been kind of tied up with everything. But yeah, that's what I heard.”

Someone in Burchett’s car gets an alert on their phone…
